An app doesn't get a second chance at a first session. Confusing onboarding, unclear navigation or a sluggish first screen are enough for a user to delete an app before they've seen what it actually does - no amount of backend polish recovers that.
Feature completeness is rarely what decides whether an app survives its first week. Users judge an app in seconds, on things that have nothing to do with what it can technically do: does it load fast, is the first action obvious, does it feel like it respects their time.
Good UX is not decoration applied after the product is built - it's a set of decisions made alongside the engineering: what the first three taps look like, what happens when something goes wrong, how much the user has to think before they act. Get those wrong and the best backend in the world won't save retention.
We treat design as a first-class part of the build, not a coat of paint - research, wireframes and prototyping happen before a line of production code is written, so the interface and the engineering are solving the same problem from day one.
